Poppycat's food story

The students in Primary A class create and tell the story of their mascot, Poppycat, so that they consolidate their knowledge of healthy vs junk food in English. The food graphics were made by the children themselves during four teaching sessions.

Aims & objectives

In Primary A class, the project focusses on language awareness through the development of communication skills in English
In Primary E -ST class, the project aims at promoting  the skills of reading, listening, writing and speaking in English through the lesson of ICT (CLILL) which focusses on the design of digital interactive games for A class.



A Class

Lessons are theme based.
Students are involved in TPR, role play, game kinesthetic etc activities as described in the PEAP curriculum.
But there is always a scenario in the procedure of each lesson leading to composing a story so that language functions are internalised.
Students are aware of their product.


E-ST

Students in the ICT lesson are taught algorithms and computer programming in English.
They design and produce interactive computer games to help A class students practice new lexis.
Students are aware of both their product and its impact.
